ONE LOVE HI POWA VINCE L’ IRAWMA AWARD

Mentre il Rototom Sunsplash non ce l’ha fatta, battuta solo dal grande Rebel Salute che continua a confermare non solo di essere un festival strepitoso ma anche di grande qualità e di una popolarità crescente, finalmente un sound italiano è entrato nella storia del reggae . Nell’articolo delle nomination pubblicato qualche mese fa lo avevamo annunciato, poi nell’anticipo di qualche giorno fa, ci siamo andati cauti prima di diffondere la notizia, ma ora è ufficiale. Il nostro sound system più rappresentativo stiamo parlando dei One Love Hi Powa si è aggiudicato e vinto il premio più ambito nella reggae muzic.

Stiamo parlando dell’ International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA), dove le votazioni on line del pubblico e della massime fanno la differenza rispetto agli altri Awards, magari più in voga, che però non sono di fatto un’espressione reale della musica reggae come IRAWMA .
Quindi i nostri complimenti vanno a tutti i componenti di un sound che è stato il pioniere in Italia e continua a scrivere pagine importanti ma questa volta nella scena internazionali della musica reggae.
Anche se non hanno vinto il World Clash, ma ci sono andati molto vicino questa volta hanno sconfitto i più popolare sound internazionali iniziando proprio dai giapponesi di Mighty Crown più volte vincitori di questo premio. Una bella rivincita ed una grande soddisfazione. Siamo orgogliosi di voi ragazzi.
