Un nuovo libro su Frank Zappa in arrivo nel 2022

Un nuovo libro contenente le conversazioni tra Frank Zappa e l'esperto Co De Kloet sarà pubblicato nel febbraio del 2022. 

Raccoglierà ben due decenni di conversazioni intercorse tra l'istrionico artista e il musicista, compositore, produttore e personalità radiofonica olandese, nonché esperto della discografia di Zappa, Co De Kloet, il nuovo libro che sarà pubblicato da Jawbone Press il 15 febbraio del 2022. Il titolo con il quale sarà rilasciato è particolarmente esplicativo: Frank And Co: Conversations With Frank Zappa 1977-1993 e i fan sono già in trepidazione. 

Il rapporto tra De Kloet e Zappa 

I due artisti sono stati amici per molti anni e, durante quel periodo, l'olandese ha registrato quasi ogni conversazione che ha intrattenuto col leggendario musicista. In molti casi, poi, De Kloet e Zappa hanno condiviso ideologie politiche, gusti musicali e molto altro. Il nuovo libro in uscita per Jawbone Press offre una cronaca unica della loro amicizia, dal loro primo incontro nel 1977 alla morte di Zappa, nel '93, facendo luce su alcune sfaccettature inedite dell'istrionico artista. 

Esprimendosi riguardo Frank And Co: Conversations With Frank Zappa 1977-1993, il figlio di Zappa, Dweezil, ha dichiarato quanto segue:

Questo libro rappresenta, a livello cerebrale, un'esperienza analoga alla visione di un documentario. Qualsiasi cosa mio padre dicesse, dall'espressione della sua visione delle religioni o della politica o dei suoi punti di vista musicali o del fatto che i suoi ex collaboratori suonassero la sua musica in pubblico senza permesso, è trascritto senza filtri, con l'estrema sincerità di mio padre. Lui era diretto con Co e Co ha voluto essere diretto col pubblico.

Il libro contiene anche alcuni dei ricordi preferiti che l'artista olandese serba di Frank Zappa e interviste agli allievi del musicista.
